My daily allowance for cheap accommodation, breakfast, dinner couple of beers and a moped to get around on is $30 to $40 aud per day. That figure does not include train and coach fares, or extra activities along the way. When you say not too terrible, my accommodation is usually a fan room, sometimes air conditioned. If you live like a local eg, eat local food, then it can be a very cheap holiday. If you prefer a little more comfort for your accommodation, then you should add an extra $10 to $15 aud to your budget. If your only there for seven days I cant see you touring around too much. Why not spend most of your week in a smaller area, at least you have something to go back for. Either way you will have a great time, Thailand is a fantastic country with beautiful,friendly people.
