Thailand’s best beaches and places not to miss?

Me and the missus are going on a 30 day trip around Thialand in a couple of weeks. We are interested in seeing a few things but we must include (a) a good place to party (other than the full moon party – though comments about this are welcome) and (b) the most beautiful island/beach/paradise to spend our last week chilling.

Basically, any advice from those with experience of the country would be most appreciated.

P.S. At this point, thinking about starting in Bangkok, then up to Chiang Mai, then a slow journey down to Phuket and surrounding areas. What’s in-between that shouldn’t be missed?

Why is it that Thailand’s King ?

cannot stand up to scrutiny, questioning or an overview of any kind, yet takes his countries money to live in wealth whilst the majority of his people live in poverty.

Apparently the Thai king would rather hide behind thelaws that question his ability to rule than address them because he is scared of the public.

Since an Australian is facing a horrific jail sentence for ” questioning” the role of the king in Thailand should ALL Australians with a conscience boycott Thailand as holiday destination until this Australian is released.

The Thai king would obviously prefer to abuse human rights so he can remain a puppet of his military who are in control, than face the scrutiny of his people.

Your thoughts…and no all you wishy washy Thais who pointed out that i was not a Thai you are right …full marks .. but your King loves my tourist dollars.
Dude , your King is irrelevant , stupid and a total waste of space.

I wonder what Thailand would be like with out Aussie dollars , I know your women would miss them.
