Is Calangute (Goa) like Patong (Thailand)?

Thinking about staying in Calangute but not if it’s really crowded and commercialized to the extent that Patong is.

We are going in February and are not looking for a quiet, secluded beach resort. Just want to know how Calangute compares to Patong. Thanks!

I’m going to Phuket for a holiday in mid september, We’re a large group comprising of 20+ ppl.. Looking for a nice place to stay that’s near the beach and nightlife.. Anything to suggest that is below THB2000??

Im staying at Andaman beach resort.
It is well situated for the patong night life.
Ive never been to Thailand before and dont know the laws well.
what is the legal drinking age?
driving age of a jet ski or motor boat?
where can and cant you smoke?

It would be wicked to ‘hook up’ with thai women but i dont want to hook up with women that do it for money.
where can you pick up without them being in it for the cash?

what is patong beach like on new years eve?

i am going thailand at the end of the year and will be there for new years. i wanted to know that patong beach is like as i have left it to late to get transfers to the full moon party

i am travelling with my partner and another couple and we will also hav a group of 10 friends that are going to be there at the same time.
we are staying right across from the beach.

i have googled all i can to find info on new years eve but i havent found any really that helpful.

Going to Phuket it august, want to be walking distance to all the nightlife on bangla road in Patong and ofcourse the beach.. Anyone got any reccomendations or suggestions for a good hotel for young people that ticks these boxes?

How long does it take to get from Phuket town to Patong beach?

I am going to Thailand for the first time. I am trying to find the best place to stay. If I were to stay in Phuket town is it easy to get around the island? Any advise you can give me would be very helpful.

Thailand, Phuket: elephant Safari closest to Patong beach?

I am planning a day in Phuket. The questions are:
- what is the closest elephant Safari to Patong Beach?
- we would like to ride an elephant. Would it be enough to spend there only 2-3 hours? Or is it a long lasted safari trip, and we need to reserve a whole day for it?

We want to combine 3-4 attractions at the same day:
1. elephants riding (2-3 hours)
2. shooting rang (2 hours)
3. Wat Chalong (1,5 hour)
4. Phuket Downtown (3-4 hours)
5. go back to Patong beach.
Would it be possible to do so?
