I thought this hotel was pretty cool. When you go to the back yard of the hotel you can look out into the ocean and see little islands. I wanted to know what was on the islands but no one could tell me. I fantasized about tiki dances and volcanoes and head-hunters.

What is the BEST place to visit in Asia?

my best friend and I want to take a trip to Asia: preferably either India, Thailand, Indonesia or the Philippines. Has anyone traveled to one or more of these places? We want a hotel/area/city that includes a majority or helpful English-friendly tourism, hiking and/or beautiful beaches or mount areas to hike, easy transportation (ie less than a three hour bus to the airport) and lastly, not a lot of crime.

Cheap places to go on HOLIDAY? (SOUTH-EAST ASIA).?

I was thinking maybe Philippines or Malaysia… Does anybody know any really cheap but good hotels? I really want to go to white beach in the Philippines, but I can’t seem to find any decent yet cheap hotels. I’m 15 years old, and traveling with my friend (who is also my age or so), so it’s not like we have a lot of money. We’re thinking of spending around… 2 weeks there.

Thailand is a fantastic place to visit too (especially for those with a budget, but I’ve lived in Bangkok for 14 years… so I wanna try something new…) But I haven’t visited all the beaches, so for those who’ve been to Thai beaches, recommendations would be nice. =D.

Planning a good trip in Asia, which destination?

Hi,
I’m planning a trip in our holidays in April and I am wondering how to choose the right destination between many different holiday packages I am being offering nowadays.
China (Beijing-Shanghai-Hangzhou), Bali, India, Maldives or Mauritius?!
I’ve never been to these countries before.
Last year when I asked here about a better destination between Maldives and Thailand, almost everyone suggested me to go for Thailand and it is a MUST-SEE destination indeed.
I’m interested in photography and my wife interested in shopping.

Where in Asia is the monsoon not so bad between August and September?

How bad is it in the North of India (around Delhi etc)? I’m going on a holiday from the 14th of August till 4th of September and I’m not sure if I should go to India, the Philipines, Nepal (then Tibet), or Thailand (where I went last year already). How bad is the monsoon in these areas?

A friend and I are thinking of taking a 2-3 week trip in November for her 30th birthday and are undecided on where to go. We have been through Laos and Thailand so are not too keen to visit there again (although Laos was beautiful!). We would like somewhere with nice weather, beaches, nightlife and beautiful scenery . . . not too many requirements hey? Any suggestions?

I want to go to SE Asia and base myself somewhere to work and travel from. Sun, sea and beach are my criteria?

I am signed up for a TEFL course, I have a degree in English, so I can teach.. I work as a life and executive coach here and hope to use that in some capacity wherever I go, Singapore was suggested for that reason, however I’m not sure that’s what I’m after, too western and controlled. I like the idea of Thailand for it’s beauty, natural, laid back vibe, perhaps I could dip in and out of Bangkok and base myself out of there in a beach resort. But I am open to suggestions, I’ve never been to SE Asia. Thanks in advance.
