I would choose the Philippines over Phattaya any day. Your money goes further and the natives speak english and are very hospitable and friendly. Also your money goes further here and the beer is good .

I would go to either Boracay or over to the Golden Fields in Bacolod. Plenty of beach and nightlife in Boaracay and Bacolod offers a hot springs resort and a casino along with cockfighting arenas.

I am a Filipina but prefer to party in Pattaya and Bangkok than in Manila. When I was there in the Philippines last October 07, the night life was so boring. And guess what, I was surprise to find out that its also a bit expensive in Manila yet the bars were not so decently looking.

Thailand and the Philippines have interesting nightlife activities. Both countries are easy to get around in. I think Thailand does tourism a little better than the P.I. (You have to do something during the day – right?)

From Bangkok you can take a bus from Ekamai or Mochit bus stations for around 115 baht on an air conditioned bus. The ride will take around 2 to 2.5 hours, the bus will have luggage storage and a toilet on board.

Do some Yahoo and Google searches using "nightlife in Pattaya" or "nightlife in Angeles City or Manila" and see what comes back.

Beer is cheaper in the Philippines and there are more frequent happy hours. In Pattaya tours are cheaper and restaurants are pretty good! If you get an airconditioned hotel in Pattaya and a hotel in Angeles City for around $20 the Pattaya Hotel will have more to offer and look better and even have use of a security box and refrigerator!

Pattaya walking street. Everything that you will want is on one street.. It is much easier than in the phillipenes where you will have to take a taxi anywhere you want to go.
