coral island in thailand is near to pattaya or phuket?

I am confused that famous coral island in thailand is nearer to pattaya or phuket, or if there are two island in thailand with similar names ? Also can any one tell me about wether condition at bangkok & phuket at mid june.

Coral Island is near Pattaya. You can get a ferry ride from the Bali Hai pier which is near the end of Walking Street. The ride on the ferry is 20 baht and you purchase the ticket inside the Bali Hai building, right side. Or, you can take a faster speed boat for a much higher price. Avoid touts outside selling the same ferry tickets at inflated prices.

Coral island is also called Koh Larn Island.

Pattaya is around 2 hours from Bangkok. A bus from Ekamai bus station will run around 120 baht. Hotels are cheaper in Pattaya than Phuket or Bangkok. Transportation within Pattaya City is only 10 baht.

In June the weather will still be hot and some rain may fall every now and then. In Pattaya even during rainy season if it rains the rain will not last long. Usually in an hour or two it stops and the sun comes out again.

I would recommend you to see some beautiful coral islands near Phuket, Koh Samui or Krabi.

It is still in a rainy season in Bangkok and Phuket around mid June.

The best time of year for clear and calm water in Phuket is late November through April.

Koh Samui maybe interesting for you as vacationing in Koh Samui is still nice in June. (best from March through October)

Have a good time in Thailand.

There are 2 islands with the same English name but in Thai they’re different; Pattaya’s Coral Island a.k.a. ‘Koh Larn’ and in Phuket, Coral Island is also known as ‘Koh Hae’.

In June, it’s monsoon season. Well, it’s usually known that we shouldn’t drop by any island in this season; strong wave, bad weather. But I you’d really want to, I recommend Phuket (I don’t have much geology knowledge, but all I’ve heard, you’d be more safe there)

IT IS a small Isle off the coast of Phukette southwest of Patong. It is one of many in the area. it is a popular day trip for the tourist.
But as you will see there are hundreds more just as nice and less crowded. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

There are indeed several coral islands in Thailand however the most famous is the one located just off the coast of Phuket. It is a popular destination for day trippers, snorkelers and divers. There is only one resort located on Coral Island.

Please note that June is during the rainy season in Phuket so you should expect brief but heavy rain storms and the sea can also be a bit rough so if you get sea sick then that will not be the best time to visit Coral Island by long tail boat.
