Good Thailand Hotels?
December 9th, 2009 | by admin |Can someone give me ideas for good hotels to stay in Thailand? I would really like something right on the beach and real inexpensive but clean.
Well, you don’t say which beach, so I cannot offer names of hotels etc.. and there are cheap hotels, guesthouses everywhere, – and I would distinguish btwn a "good" hotel, such as a 3-4 star – which will be cheap by Western standards $40 per night or a decent guesthouse $5-10 a night.. I know some very nice places along beaches for $12 a night – - and maybe most important, I have found most accommodations all throughout Thailand to be clean.. Thais value cleanliness – but there are exceptions.. especially in the lower priced units, but even then, they are exceptions – again, depending on the beach you choose.. more info – better answer but hope this helps.. I could use a beach vacation soon myself!!

What beaches/islands will you be going to? How inexpensive? I stayed in huts that were $5 and 5-star hotels that were $42. I can give you more info…

Since you have not mentioned a speicific place, I would suggest Koh Samui…
Phuket is good too…
Also since you don’t mention a price point, Holiday Inn Phuket is not expensive, yet bang on the beach…

It depends what you want.
Samu is nice and I would suggest the Tongsai Bay. They have asuite which has bathtubs right on the balcony with a view onto the sea and privat bveach.
