Planning A Party In Pattaya?

March 11th, 2010

Many folks go to Pattaya, Thailand and celebrate some occasion while they are there. Whether it be an anniversary, birthday, divorce, or nothing in particular, there are plenty of party venues to schedule your special event.

I have been going to Thailand for over 30 years, have made numerous friends there – both Thai and Expat and highly recommend the following venues:

1. The FLB bar – owned by Martin and managed by Ricky down on Walking Street past the big tree – this is a very friendly hostess bar that will cater to your every whim. For about 12,000 Baht, about 300 dollars, you will have the time of your life. Excellent food from the Sportsman bar, great, live entertainment from the Ugly Brothers band and some of the friendliest ladies in Pattaya. Martin also runs an excellent forum at pattayatalk.com.

2. Cherry Bar – on Soi 8 and owned by a very friendly Brit – Adam. Adam has devoted his life to making this bar successful on a street lined wall-to-wall with similar bars. He does an excellent job of promoting his quaint little bar and bends over backwards to make you feel at home. And, you don’t even have to be a Brit to have a great time here.

3. Lennies Bar – on Soi Diamond between Walking Street and 2nd Road – Paul, the manager, will ease all of your worries and make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. As Eric Clapton said, this place will “ease you worried mind”. Parties can be arranged easily – just see Paul.

4. Tequila Queen #2 – just off of Walking Street and partially owned by Bob of Bob’s BBQ – small, air-conditioned go-go bar that guarantees great food and a super time. It may be small, but the fun will be huge.

5. Secrets Bar – Last but not least by any means. Ben used to be the manager at FLB but has moved onward and upwards and has set up his own bar, restaurant and hotel – the Secrets Hotel and Bar. On Soi 14 – just off of Walking Street Ben will ensure that you will have a super time. Ben is the host with the most and I have known him for over 7 years – he will take care of all your needs. Ben also runs a great forum at pattayasecrets.com. The restaurant at Secrets – food you would not believe, caters parties here.

So, if you are heading out to Pattaya, plan a party. It can be for any occasion or just for the heck of it.

In Pattaya Thailand ,do the working bar girls that leave the bar with a nice looking man actually have fun?

March 9th, 2010

By the way ,why is No and Crybaby Bob always fighting?
you two are funny.

We know plenty of Pattaya Bar Girls and most of them are funny and good fun and good friends.
If a good man with a good heart treats his lady with respect, smiles and wants to have a laugh then the ladies will respond in kind.
As for No and Crybaby Bob I always find their comments interesting and very funny and I love the banter – I am sure its all in good fun and hope it continues.

Liposuction Ranks As Top Plastic Surgery Procedure In America While More Americans Fly To Thailand For “sun, Sand And Surgery”

March 8th, 2010

American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has reported that the number one top surgical procedure in the United States for the year 2005 was liposuction. In that year alone, 455,489 liposuction treatments were done in America, 402,946 were women and the rest was men. The majority of the patients fall under the ages between 35 to 50 years old.

Second on the list was breast augmentation, totaling 364,610 cases in that year. The report revealed that 83.4 per cent of the patients used the saline device and 16.6 percent the silicone implant. The results of recent research demonstrate that women with saline implants are significantly more likely to express satisfaction with augmentation than women with silicone gel-filled implants.

There are no actual statistics on the numbers of transvestites since it involves some legal issues in many countries, but it has been reported that thousands of cases were done. Bangkok is known to be the premier place to go for sex change surgery. In fact, that is one of the top 10 procedures for which patients visit Thailand. A growing number of Americans are taking that path, traveling to countries like Thailand for cosmetic, orthopedic and heart surgeries and other medical and dental treatments that cost 20 to 80 percent less than at home.

For example, American surgeon’s fee for a full face-lift averaged $4822 in 2004, not including hospital costs, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. At Bangkok, it costs only 3,500 USD for a Face lift surgery (cheek bone area lift, cheek area lift, chin lift and neck lift). This cost is included hospital expenses.

The growth is in accordance with Thailand’s aim to establish Thailand as the “Center of Excellent Health of Asia” and this plan focuses on medical services, healthcare services and Thai herbal products. In 2004, as many as 20 billion Baht was generated by foreign patients seeking treatment in Thailand.

Many people want to take “cosmetics surgery holidays” in destinations that offer both tourist attractions and state-of-the-art plastic surgery technologies. Although when including the air fares and accommodation, the price is not lower than treatments in their home country, medical tourists get more than a better look from this type of vacation – they get better, revitalized feelings from the destination’s refreshing atmosphere too. “My partner and I had originally planned to fly in and have the surgery done straight away. As luck would have it, we got to fly to Thailand 5 days earlier than planned and decided to spend them in Pattaya, holidaying. I would definitely recommend this. The time to relax is a bonus, not to mention the additional shopping time….” said Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic’s Australian patient Rebecca who underwent breast augmentation surgery in 2006.

The statistics for the year 2006 is yet to come, but it is expected that the rankings will not change much, but the number of procedures might change due a greater variety of options.

Best Budget hotel in Pattaya – Thailand?

March 7th, 2010

Hi there, I am planning a trip there in october end/ November. can anyone recommend a good budget hotel in pattaya(thailand). I dont want to spend more that US$25 per night. I have been to many website for reviews and they all differ. I am all confused. Please help me decide.

Lots of cheap places don’t have web sites or even email addresses.

Here is a couple places you can check out. You could book one night just so you have a place to go to and then look around for something cheaper.

I eat at the Apex on Pattaya 2nd Road (all you can eat breakfast buffet for 110 baht) pretty often. They have some cheap rooms. Good for one night anyway while you go looking!

I like the area roughly between Soi 8 and Mike Mall for lower priced hotels. Soi Buakhaw is worth a look when you don’t have to lug your bags with you.

Good luck.
